LIFE NEW CHAIR - May Nasrallah
02 May 2018
Dear members and friends,
After 4 years of chairmanship, it gives me great pleasure to pass on the baton to May Nasrallah who has been elected as the new Chair by the Board of Directors earlier this week. Her new role will be effective in late May, following the completion of the next Board elections.
May has been an active member and supporter of LIFE since its early days, and a Board member for the past 4 years. She set up LIFE’s chapter in Dubai and chaired the committee there for over 4 years while remaining actively involved thereafter serving on a number of committees and LIFE initiatives. She is the Founder & CEO of deNovo Corporate Advisors with a long career in investment banking (you can find her full bio below for your reference).
My experience as Chairman of this dynamic organisation was very rewarding and enriching thanks to all LIFE members, fellow board members, the executive team, our generous donors and friends.
A lot has been achieved since the inception of LIFE, and we were successful on many fronts, but we still have many challenges ahead that we need to navigate carefully in order to take LIFE to the next level.
On a personal note, I don’t view my stepping down as Chair as stepping away from LIFE. I think what we have started building is a lifelong organization that hopefully with the hard work of the various boards, pillars, executive team, and most importantly our members, will continue to grow and flourish. LIFE is set up to offer Lebanese finance professionals in the diaspora a chance to both receive and to give back and benefit from one of the strongest networks. From the young scholars we help give a new lease on life through our scholarship programme, to our CEOs who come to us to help them give back, along with all the other services we offer, I sincerely hope that once you are a LIFE member, you will always remain a LIFE member.
I count on your continuous support to make this transition a smooth one, and would like you to join me in wishing May the best of luck in her new role and adventure.
