• Nadine Massoud Bernheim

    Nadine brings to LIFE a wealth of experience acquired through a career spanning 31 years of Finance and Entrepreneurship.
    Nadine had previously served as a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch where she was responsible for French institutions and later ran the team responsible for the bank’s relationships with Sovereign Wealth Funds in EMEA. In 2010, she founded ESMOD Istanbul, a global French Fashion school franchise which she later sold part of to Vakko Holdings, a major Turkish conglomerate.
    Nadine holds a Masters of Economics from Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne and a Post-graduate certificate in Executive Coaching.

    Frédérique joined LIFE in February 2015.
    Prior to LIFE, Frederique was the General Manager and Deputy Director at the French Alliance in Abu Dhabi. She was organising cultural events in the UAE to promote French culture as well raising funds from local institutions and HNW individuals. Previously, Frederique has worked in different marketing and communications positions for companies including Exotica and Haagen-Dazs. She holds a Masters in linguistics and a Bachelor degree in computer science. Frederique has lived in London for the last 3 years.

  • Zeina Farhat

    Zeina joined LIFE in January 2014 as Nurture Coordinator.

    She has previously worked for 10 years Investment Banking, in the Acquisition Finance team of Societe Generale, in charge of financing the strategic acquisitions of the bank’s major corporate clients. She has worked in Paris, and then moved to London where she became the Deputy Head of the team, in charge specifically of the UK, Russia and the Middle East. She then went on to become an independent financial consultant for entrepreneurs and start-ups, mainly in the Social Enterprise field. Zeina holds a Master in Management from HEC in Paris and a B.A. in Economics from Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut.

  • Rama Hajjar
    Regional Manager

    Rama joined LIFE in September 2014.

    She is an active volunteer and fundraiser for several not-for-profit organisations. She has previously worked with START in the UAE and AFEL in Lebanon supporting disabled and underprivileged children. Previously, she was on the Executive team of The Culture Vultures, the premier cultural and charitable foundation in Bahrain. Rama started her career in New York working for UBS in Investment Banking and Haven Capital with a focus on Client Relations. She holds an MBA from George Washington University.

    Reem joined LIFE in August 2013 shortly after obtaining her degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.

    Her role includes supporting LIFE’s Chief Executive and the Board of Directors in all areas of administration, relying on attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
    In addition, Reem supports the Director of Finance and Operations with accounting, office administration and IT.
    Reem also takes enjoyment in assisting the Membership Team with event organisation and logistics.
    In her spare time, she fundraises and volunteers for various non-profit charities, helping children in the Middle East and Africa.

  • Abdallah Jabbour
    Managing Director, Lebanon For Entrepreneurs

    Abdallah joined LIFE in January 2014.

    He is the Managing Director of Lebanon for Entrepreneurs (LFE), LIFE’s first Promote initiative whose aim is to accelerate the development of the technology startup ecosystem in Lebanon. Abdallah is also a mentor to several startups in the Middle East and the US, and a cofounder and Board member of Speed@BDD, a Beirut-based startup accelerator focused on Web, mobile, and digital media. Prior to LFE, Abdallah worked at Oracle Corporation and Cisco Systems in Silicon Valley, in roles that spanned software engineering, business development, business incubation, and corporate strategy. At Abraaj Capital in Dubai, Abdallah worked on early-stage investments in the technology sector, and helped launch Abraaj's technology seed fund. Abdallah holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the American University of Beirut, a Master of Science from MIT, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. He is fluent in Arabic, French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

  • Lara Koro
    Education (Nurture) Programme Manager

    Lara joined LIFE in May 2014.

    Lara worked for several blue-chip companies like Visa Inc. and Accenture, and worked on consulting projects for Union Bank of Switzerland, Zurich Financial Services, ABN Amro, the Woolwich, and Credit Suisse First Boston. Lara held various positions of responsibility varying from short to long term consulting assignments including coaching and leading faculty for new joiners' training within Accenture induction school in Chicago. She worked in several countries including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, France, Lebanon, Jordan and the United States of America and has recently moved back to Beirut. Lara has an MBA from the University of Birmingham, UK and a Professional Business Diploma from the University of California, Berkeley.
  • Sue Louise

    Sue joined life in January 2016, bringing 35 years of experience in executive and financial management to her role with the organisation. 

    Her expertise lies in problem solving and change management including redesigning processes/systems, particularly of IT networks, databases and finance software. She enjoys building successful teams, facilitating learning and effective communication.
    After qualifying as a chartered, certified accountant, she joined the International Institute of Environment and Development as the Director of Corporate Services, leading a restructuring process which improved productivity and reduced costs. At Brook Advisory, she led the procurement process for and introduction of web-based accountancy software for a newly formed group of 17 health charities, devising and leading on training for over 200 staff throughout the UK.
    Other organisations she has worked for include Amnesty International and the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman. 

    Sue has also had a series of non-executive roles as Trustee of several organisations in the not-for-profit sector, including housing, HIV/AIDS and global literacy. She is currently involved in the co-ordination of resources for refugee resettlement in her local area.

    Sue has a BA in Social Science and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered, Certified Accountants.

  • Zeina Mhanna
    Promote Coordinator

    Zeina Mhanna joined LIFE in October 2014 covering for Zeina Farhat as Nurture Coordinator.
    In June 2015 she was appointed to the newly created role of Promote Coordinator. Her appointment to this role is a key step in LIFE’s plans to grow and institutionalise the Promote pillar within LIFE. Prior to joining LIFE, Zeina has worked for seven years in Fixed Income sales in major investment banks. She started her career at Morgan Stanley in London, she then moved to JP Morgan and later to Santander GBM. Zeina is currently completing an executive program at Harvard Business School, Programme for Leadership Development, and is expected to graduate in July 2017. She also holds a Master’s degree in Finance from ESCP-EAP in Paris and a BA in Economics from the American University of Beirut.

    Jihane joined LIFE in January 2016 as coordinator for the LIFE 2016 Gala and from September 2016 assumed the role of Events Coordinator.
    She previously worked at Morgan Stanley in London within the Equity Derivatives Sales Team, covering institutional clients for their structured products needs.
    She then went on to co-create her company for clothing design, import and distribution of women’s fashion from Austria to the UK, which she ran for 10 years.
    She is currently President of the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle London’s Alumni Association, having built up its network, activities and career advice to current pupils over the last decade. She has also organised several events for the Lycée’s anniversaries as well as editing a book on the 100 year history of the school.
    Jihane holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics and an MSc in Management, both from the London School of Economics. She is fluent in French, English, Arabic, German and Spanish.

    Carole joined LIFE in October 2011 and is currently managing all LIFE’s marketing and communications tools and collateral.
    Prior to LIFE, she worked for 2 years at the Lebanese Embassy in London, closely with the Ambassador and on consular matters. Before moving to London, Carole was the Middle-East & Romania marketer for Sunglass Hut (Luxottica) at Azadea Group where she also managed the revamption of the company's website, having started her career at Bank Audi's Head office Communications department in Beirut.
    Carole holds a Bachelor in Hotel & Tourism Management from the Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut, a Masters in Organisational Communication from Lyon II, III and ENS and a Certificate in Marketing from the London Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
    Besides her professional life, she is a mother of 2 boys and a volunteer for the Lebanese charity Heartbeat (taking care new-borns with Congenital Heart Diseases).
